What does the world need now?
Fiscal responsibility? Peaceful foreign policy? Affordable health care?
Well, yeah, but since we can’t have any of those ideas, how about settling for the next best thing?
A new American Federal Holiday!
It’s called Hug A Monster Day. It already happens every year on July 27, and now we want the government to recognize it, too.
The point is to remember, at least one day a year, that monsters are people too. And we show them all the love and respect they deserve.
Participants are encouraged to dress up, or just carry their favorite monster toys around with them to work, school, and play. Imagine the fright on your friends’ faces when you pull out a stuffed zombie doll at lunch and hug it. Or when you pet your favorite Frankenstein monster in Chemistry Class. Picture the possibilities.
Why do we need another Federal Holiday? Because Europe has more than we do, and that’s just not fair.
How can we make this happen?
Click here or go to the link below and vote. We’ve petitioned the White House to recognize Hug A Monster Day as a legitimate holiday. It’s so easy. We can make this happen.

Will you join us in this adventure to remember the macabre, to satiate our hankering for horror, to show the world that monsters are people too?
