Don’t miss this weekend’s biggest ball in Asheville from our good friends at the Multiverse:
Third Annual Time Travelers’ Masquerade to Bring Together Music, Costumes for Steam-Powered Celebration of Daylight Savings and the 50th Anniversary of Doctor Who Asheville, NC – Multiverse Asheville will host Sirius.B and Leigh Glass & The Hazards at Asheville Music Hall on November 2 for its 3rd annual costumed gala to celebrate the end of Daylight Savings Time with a Victorian flair.
He’s known only as “The Doctor.” He may be a thousand years old, but he’s been part of our social consciousness since 1963! The Time Travelers’ Masquerade returns, celebrating rolling-back the clocks with a tribute to the 50th anniversary of the world’s longest-running science fiction television character!
Guests at The Time Travelers’ Masquerade will don fashions inspired by the Doctor’s career (or those of other time travelers), or period clothing ranging from Victorian steampunk to Renaissance, Medieval to post-modern. Asheville Face & Body Art will provide their distinctive, hand-painted body art masks for cash donations, and full-size TARDIS and Dalek props will appear courtesy of Cosplay Kasterborous!
By popular demand, the Time Travelers’ Masquerade welcomes back Sirius.B , a fixture in Asheville nightlife and regularly-featured band in Mountain Xpress’ Best of WNC! The “absurdist gypsy folk funk punk” group will be joined by Masquerade newcomers Leigh Glass and the Hazards, a gutsy, charismatic rock and roll show with heavy blues and bluegrass influences.
