Asheville’s GeekOut popular arts convention has something for everyone. Whether you’re into the maker scene, artistic body painting, or LARPing, the event has something for you.
SML’s head monsters hope to see you again at this year’s event. We’ll be in the small press section – as usual – with fun, wacky, and rambunctious opportunities to show off your monster side over the weekend. We expect all our loyal readers to come by and participate in our monster-themed scavenger hunt. And hear exclusive news about several upcoming projects in the works.
While you’re not at our table paying tribute to your monster overlords, we encourage you to enjoy the rest of this year’s GeekOut lineup. A great selection of exhibitors and vendors will be on hand to sell you everything of your heart’s desire. Attractions include Ashebots (Asheville’s youth robotics team), the Carolina Ghostbusters and Ecto-1, Alliance Crossroads and their interactive LARP experience, and Asheville’s branch of the Society for Creative Anachronisms.
But wait! There’s more!
This year’s guest lineup is sure to thrill and delight. Among this year’s guests are Hollywood actor Dante Basco, comedienne and actress Janet Varney, Walking Dead zombie Wallace Krebs and makeup artist Java Green, and many more impressive ghouls and boys – including yours truly.
Check out the rest of GeekOut’s lineup here and get your tickets today! We’ll see you there.
