5. Monsters Like Good Hair Days

It’s true – some monsters can be as vain as humans. Sure, some monsters can’t see their reflections, and some monsters don’t have much hair, but the monsters who can and do definitely like to keep up their appearances.

A stylish hairdo is one of the first things people notice about a monster, right after sharp fangs of deadly claws. Hairstyle can tell you a lot about the kind of monsters you have in front of you: are they trendy or trashy, do they blend in well with humans or like to stand out in a crowd, what period of history must you be in to meet such a creature?

Many monsters like vampires and shape shifters can have an easy time assimilating into human culture, and can use their hairstyle to either blend in further or stand out. Other, more furry monsters can have difficulty, but that doesn’t mean they don’t try to look their best.

The thing we humans must remember is that everyone – regardless of humanity – likes to look their best, and should be given the opportunity to express themselves through their appearance. And just like humans, some monsters may need a little more help to find that right look than others.
