Monsters terrorize villages. Monsters raid and pillage. They destroy entire civilizations – when they can, of course. They build weapons, and summon demons, and pull the tags off of mattresses, and live without a solid moral code.
But monsters have a soft side, too. And when we fall in love, the object of our affection becomes our only concern. Whether she likes it or not.
We try bringing gifts, like dead squirrels and severed heads. And we try doing nice things for them, like killing their entire families so it can be just the two of us…alone…forever.
